An unidentified man of East Indian descent was found lying in a trench early Monday at Front Street, Patentia West Bank Demerara.
The partly decomposed body was found clad in short blue jeans with a plastic bag tied around the head at about 09:45 hrs.
Police Headquarters said the man was also found with blisters and bladders about the body.
Upon further investigation it was revealed that the man’s face was swollen around the eyes.
Police said several persons were questioned in the area.
While the investigation is in progress, the body is presently at Ezekiel Funeral Home awaiting identification and post mortem.
