20-year-old wanted in connection with murder of “Sharukh Khan”

The police have issued a wanted bulletin for Anthony Jhaggroo of Lot 35 Goed Intent, West Bank Demerara (WBD) on Wednesday.

He is wanted by the police for questioning in relation to “Escape from lawful custody” and the murder of 31- year -old Yugehswar Shiwcharan, called “Sharukh Khan”, a father of two of Lot 485, Belle West Housing Scheme, West Bank Demerara.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Anthony Jhaggroo is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 225-2227, 225-8196, 268-2343, 268-2298, 268-2222, 911 or the nearest police station.

All information will be treated with strict confidence the Police said.

Shiwcharan, a father of two died on 2016-07-10 following an alleged beating by two young ladies and their brother.

According to reports, Shiwcharan suffered from seizures on Monday, July 04, after which he became delirious and entered the yard of his neighbour where the incident occurred.

The injured man was rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital while where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
