A 27-year-old unemployed man was Saturday evening busted with a 9mm Luger Pistol with a magazine and four rounds of ammunition by a Police Anti-Crime Unit patrol, the police said in a statement.
The man, who resides in Providence, East Bank Demerara, was discovered with the illegal items about 21:40hrs at Montrose, East Coast Demerara.
Police said the suspect was walking along the Railway Embankment when the patrol intercepted him.
He was taken into in custody and is assisting in the investigation.
