A fire at Number 70 Village on the Corentyne Coast destroyed two houses, leaving several persons homeless on Wednesday night.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, however, News Room was informed that the blaze started at approximately 20:00hrs at one of the houses before spreading to the other.
Reports indicate that three fire trucks arrived at the location and had to make several trips in order to source water to extinguish the flames.
