Dead: Krishna Latchman, Indrawattie Totaram
The Police in Berbice are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a Corentyne man and his wife who were both found dead in their Williamsburg home on Sunday, December 3,2017.
Dead are Indrawattie Totaram, who was found with multiple chop wounds about her body and Krishna Latchman, a cane-cutter, who was found hanging.
According to information reaching the News Room, a relative of the couple was on his way out of the street at about 18:30hrs when he called out to the couple, however he suspected that something was amiss and decided to enter the house when he made the gruesome discovery.
Neighbours were subsequently alerted and they rushed to the scene, where they too saw the bodies. Police arrived at the scene shortly after and the bodies were taken to the Port Mourant Hospital mortuary. The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear at this time. (Royan Abrams)
