A 17-year-old girl who recently escaped from police custody, was today remanded to prison for robbery.

Ronda Junior denied that on March 7, 2018, at Brickdam, Georgetown she robbed Walter Nero of his cellphone and cash valued $10,000, during which she used personal violence.

Police Prosecutor, Richard Harris told the court that the teen is currently before the court on a similar charge; the court also heard that she escaped from the police Outpost at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

The prosecutor objected to bail and noted that the teen is expected to be charged with escaping from police custody.

The Magistrate ruled in the prosecution’s favour and remanded the teen to prison until April 4, 2018.
