A Police team Sunday afternoon shot and killed three suspected bandits in Black Bush Polder, the News Room has confirmed.
One of the suspected dead bandits has been identified as 32-year-old Kelvin Shivgobin called “Kelly” of Belvedere.
Shivgobin was wanted by Police for questioning in relation to the robbery/murder of two brothers which occurred on December 31, 2018.
The two brothers, Harricharran 46, and Premcharran Samaroo, 45, were killed during the course of a robbery at their mother’s home at Bush Lot Corentyne.
Residents in Black Bush Polder say they are living in fear following a spate of robberies in less than a week.
On Friday last, bandits executed two armed robberies in the Yakarsari Black Bush Polder area where one of the victims was badly beaten.
On Saturday night a single mother was attacked, beaten and robbed by bandits.
