5 new COVID-19 cases, 10 remain in ICU

Guyana on July 06, 2020 recorded five new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 278.

This was revealed in the Ministry of Public Health’s daily COVID-19 update Monday.

Ten persons remain in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Georgetown Public Hospital.

There are now 142 active cases in institutional isolation and 19 persons in institutional quarantine.

To date, there are 121 recoveries and a total of 15 COVID-19 related deaths recorded.

So far, 2,889 persons have tested for the deadly disease of which 2,611 are negative.
