Christopher Howes, a 54-year-old resident of Region Four, appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan charged with the rape of a woman who allegedly stabbed him in the scrotum.
Howes was not required to plead to the charge which alleged that he engaged in sexual penetration with the victim without her consent on April 5, 2020.
The Chief Magistrate released Howes on $100,000 bail and ordered that he keep away from the victim; he was also ordered to report to the Ruimveldt Police Station once fortnightly.
The case is adjourned until October 19.
