Six arrested as CANU finds cocaine in saltfish headed for Miami

The Customs Anti Narcotics Unit (CANU) on Monday night announced that it had arrested six persons after cocaine was discovered concealed in saltfish headed to Miami from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA).

The CANU ranks made the discovery at a cargo shed at the airport.

The cocaine was found wrapped in pencil shaped parcels which were hidden in the bones of the saltfish.

The cocaine weighed 3.304 kilogrammes.
