Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Floyd Austin, 57, a tailor of Epsom Village, Corentyne, whose nude body was found lying face down in a clump of bushes in the village four days after he was reported missing.
A statement from Police Headquarters revealed that a pair of black long boots, three-quarter brown pants, blue underwear, and a transparent bottle containing substance suspected to be poison were found in close proximity to the body.
The discovery was made at around 10:50hrs on Thursday; Austin was reported missing on July 4. Police said no marks of violence were observed on the body, which is now at Anthony’s Funeral Home awaiting an autopsy.
