Two motorcyclists – Japhith Moore, 21, and Glensroy Stephen, 24 – were seriously injured after Moore allegedly drove into Stephen along the Sparta Public Road along the Essequibo Coast.
Police Headquarters reported that both motorcycles were allegedly speeding along the road in a northern direction at about 03:40hrs on Saturday.
The police reported that Stephen said Moore drove into him which caused him to lose control of his motorcycle. As a result both men were thrown off the motorcycles and received injuries about their bodies.
They are currently being treated at the Suddie Public Hospital.
