Man, 21, arrested for allegedly raping woman with disability
Police officers in Region Nine are investigating the alleged rape of a 21-year-old woman with a disability. The suspect, who is also 21 years old, has been arrested.
According to the police report, the incident occurred on Sunday.
The victim was reportedly home alone when suspect went into the premises, held her down and committed the act. She was later found crying by relatives, whom she told what transpired.
The suspect was apprehended by public-spirited citizens and later arrested, police reported.
When told of the allegation, he reportedly told police: “Officer I went over to charge me phone and I just hold on pon she for one minute and she tell me to stop and I stop.”
Investigations are ongoing.
