A 16-year-old girl, who was brutally stabbed to her neck during a fight with another female on Thursday, is now in a stable condition. The teen had to undergo emergency surgery to repair her jugular vein in her neck, a reliable source told the News Room.
The incident, which occurred on Cummings Street in Georgetown, was captured on video. The video shows the teen and the female, who was reportedly armed with a knife, fighting alongside the road at about 10:27hrs on Thursday.
Public spirited citizens tried to assist the teen and the video further shows the teen walking around for a few seconds after she stabbed. She was then rushed to the hospital by persons working in the area.
The suspect then returned and picked up something suspected to be the weapon used to stab the teen.
