The partly decomposed body of a 24-year-old man was found inside a canal at Edinburgh Sideline Dam in Region Six on Friday morning.
Dead is Joshua Oliver Surrey of Glasgow New Housing Scheme, East Bank Berbice.
His sister Elaine Surrey told reporters that her brother left home in a hurry after reportedly consuming an illegal substance on Wednesday night and never returned home.
“Apparently he smoke and as soon as he finish smoking he just ran out,” the sister explained.
She revealed that her mother and siblings desperately searched for her brother but he was nowhere to be found until Friday when a passerby discovered the body in the canal.
