Update: Firefighter’s car found; battery, steering wheel, keys missing

Police ranks stationed at the Timehri Police Station managed to locate a stolen motorcar at South Dakota Circuit hours after it went stolen.

The silver Toyota Premio motorcar with registration number PAC 3417 was reported stolen Monday from Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke/Linden Highway.

The owner of the car, Mark Smith, a firefighter told the News Room that the car was found just after 13:00hrs on Monday without the battery, steering wheel and keys.

The firefighter woke up on Monday morning and discovered that the car was missing.

He said when he retired to bed at about 22:30hrs on Sunday the car was still parked in the yard. The firefighter made a report to the Police and an investigation was launched.
