An accident on the Golden Fleece Public Road, Essequibo Coast on Sunday has led to the hospitalization of a 12-year-old girl.
The News Room understands that the child had just left church when she was struck down by motorcar, PAC 3483 at around 13:00 hrs.
Her mother, Melisa Mohamed, said she received a telephone call from nurses that her daughter was at the Suddie hospital.
The child has a broken arm and other injuries to the body. The driver is in Police custody.
