Green to Red: Patricia Chase-Green switches it up
Former Mayor of Georgetown Patricia Chase-Green has joined the ruling People’s Progressive Party (PPP).
Chase-Green was Mayor of Georgetown under the People’s National Congress, the major party in the APNU Coalition.
Donned in a red (the main colour of the PPP), Chase-Green was seen among PPP executives and members on their way to present the PPP’s list of candidates to contest the upcoming Local Government elections.
She entered politics in the early 1990’s after she was approached by then Mayor Hamilton Green to join his “Good and Green” group.
Chase-Green, from New Amsterdam, Berbcie, worked for nearly four decades as a nurse.
She was elected Mayor of Georgetown on April 1, 2016 following the Local Government elections of that year and remained in the post until January 2019.
To see Patricia Chase-Green in the PPPC outfit is indeed interesting I would suspect that she realised that the people of Georgetown deserves better and it only through the PPPC this is can be procured.
