V-Net Communications will offer better satellite connectivity to hinterland communities and rural Guyana through a partnership with the neXat platform.

The neXat platform will give V-Net tools to manage and monitor its network, billing and online payments, and traffic routing and shaping.

According to a release from neXAT, the platform will help improve V-Net’s operation efficiency, allowing them to expand and serve more sectors like education, health, mining, and Oil & Gas with high-performing and tailored networks.

“The neXat platform will put us in control of this network by offering us an array of tools to enhance our clients’ service quality greatly. This will add value to all facets of rural development and ensure that businesses get the connectivity they need to thrive”, said V-Net’s Founder & CEO, Safraz Sheriffudeen.

V-Net also specialises in connectivity for disaster and emergency recovery scenarios, Oil & Gas, and enterprise customers.

The two companies are exploring the option of extending the use of the platform to these sectors.

Given these new improvements, Sheriffudeen and Operations Manager, Martin Leich, met with Prime Minister Brigadier (Rtd) Mark Phillips on Monday to update him on the company’s offerings and plans to strengthen and develop Guyana’s Information and Communication (ICT).

The Prime Minister’s office holds the portfolios for the Civil Defence Commission (CDC), Energy, Information, and Telecoms Sectors.
