City Magistrate Leron Daly on Friday remanded Joshua Craig to prison, until February next year, on charges of violently robbing an elderly man of his cell phone, among other valuables.

The alleged incident took place on October 28 at Fourth Street, Kingston in Georgetown, where Joshua Craig stands accused of robbing victims of items valued at a total of $610,000 with the use of personal violence.

The stolen items included an iPhone 14 Pro Max with an estimated worth of $300,000, an iPhone 12 Pro Max also valued at $300,000, and a wallet valued at $10,000.

In court, Craig, without legal representation, entered a plea of not guilty to the charge brought against him.

The Police prosecutor strongly opposed bail for the defendant on the grounds that he had cooperated with police investigators by leading them to the location where he had concealed the stolen phones.

Additionally, it was revealed that he had made a confessional caution statement regarding the crime.

Moreover, the prosecutor pointed out that the VC suffered minor injuries to his neck as a direct consequence of the violent robbery.

In light of these factors, bail was denied, and Craig was remanded to prison until February 2, 2024.

3 months waiting not bad- free room, free food, free electricity, free 24/7 security, plus healthcare if needed.
Crime really does pay, I mean by the taxpayers.
