A motorcyclist identified as Randy Gilbert was Sunday morning injured in an accident at Aranaputa Valley in the North Rupununi area of Region Nine (Upper Takutu- Upper Essequibo).
The News Room understands that Gilbert was travelling to Annai to deliver some fresh produce when he collided with a pickup vehicle.
There was a truck driving in front of Gilbert and he reportedly attempted to overtake the vehicle. As he was doing so, there was a cloud of dust that shrouded another pickup vehicle travelling in the opposite direction, towards Gilbert’s motorcycle.
The motorcycle and vehicle collided and Gilbert was injured. Public-spirited persons saw the accident and provided assistance.
