Banks DIH is getting ready to open its multi-million, multi-story parking lot at Riverview, Ruimveldt, Georgetown by April 2024.

Construction on the elevated parking lot started in 2019 but at the weekend, during the hosting of the company’s 68th Annual General Meeting, company executives explained the investment to the public.

Chairman of Banks DIH Limited Clifford Reis told a large gathering of shareholders on Saturday that the six-story parking lot facility will also house several related businesses though levels one to five will be used as parking for employees.

Accommodating a total of 400 vehicles, some 80 vehicles will be allowed parking on each level that spans 35, 000 square feet.

“The ground floor was designed to accommodate an automotive dealership where we will display motor vehicles, cycles, vehicle tires and air conditioning systems,” Reis said.

Banks Auto Motive Services Inc. entered into a partnership with Daikin – a leading innovator and provider of advanced, high-quality air conditioning solutions – to retail their air conditioning units.

On the sixth floor, there will be a “state of the art restaurant that can accommodate 300 persons and cater for events such as conferences, weddings and other social events,” Reis further explained.

The western end parking will be used for the parking of 30 trucks belonging to the company.

The Chairman said the facility will be officially open by the end of the first quarter of 2024.
