Guyana Police Force graduates 24 new Immigration Officers

The Guyana Police Force On Tuesday, May 07, 2024, officially welcomed twenty-four (24) newly graduated constables into the Immigration Department. The ceremony was held at the Officers’ Training Centre, Eve Leary, Georgetown.

Course 1/2024 was coordinated by Sergeant Hoosein. The newly enlisted ranks came from various regions across the country and will now be assigned to different offices and ports of entry to perform duties.

Director of the Guyana Police Force’s Academy, Woman Superintendent Sonia Herbert, expressed confidence that the ranks are now fully equipped to contribute meaningfully to their new roles and functions. She commended them for the commitment, shown throughout their training, and admonished them to transfer the same attitude to the job.

Also present were Assistant Superintendent R. Clarke. Assistant Superintendent T. Benn, Woman Assistant Superintendent D. Pollard, Inspector Newton, Inspector Gomanie, Woman Inspector Adams, and other ranks.
