Motorcyclist drives away after hitting pedestrian on High Street
Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Thursday around 19:00 hrs on High Street, Georgetown involving a motorcycle and pedestrian Jvon Ross of Durban Street Werk- En- Rust Georgetown.
According to Police Headquarters, the motorcycle was proceeding north along the one-way on High Street at a fast rate and collided with Ross who was crossing the road from the east to the west in the vicinity of Ashmin’s building.
As a result of the collision, the pedestrian fell onto the road surface, receiving injuries on his body. He was picked up by his parents placed in a motor car and conveyed to Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, where he was seen and examined by a doctor on duty and admitted.
The scene was visited by police and investigations are ongoing.
