2 Dead in Corentyne accident

Two persons are now dead after the speeding vehicle in which they were travelling collided with a horse, causing the driver to lose control and veered off the road into a nearby trench.

 

The accident occurred around 21:30 on Sunday night at Number 50 Leeds Village, Corentyne.

 

Dead is driver of the vehicle, 45-year-old Richard Ramnarine and 23-year-old Ramesh Rampat.

 

According to information reaching News Room, three other persons who were in the vehicle at the time, 24-year-old Prakash Gangaram, 31-year-old Rameshwar Mangal and 24-year old Mahendra Ramprakash are critical. They were admitted to the Skeldon Public Hospital.

 

Reports are that the persons were intoxicated at the time of the accident.
