A brazen daylight shooting has left an America Street, Georgetown Money Changer dead after he was shot in the head outside the Ashmin’s Store on High Street.
Dead is Phillip Alleyne, 57, of 88 Public Road Grove, East Bank Demerara.
News Room understands Alleyne had just parked his car when he was attacked and shot just after 10:00hrs.
He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he died while receiving treatment.
It is unclear at this point whether he was robbed or how many persons attacked him.
