27 foreign women found at East Bank ‘strip club’

Police in ‘A’ Division have detained 27 female foreign nationals who were found inside a “strip club” at Bikers Bar, Covent Garden, East Bank Demerara.

A police statement noted that it received a report that a “strip club” was in operation at the bar; a search was conducted Friday night.

Police said the owner/operator of the facility who resides at Nutmeg Street, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown is also in custody assisting with investigations.

“A case of liquor has been seized and lodged as there are no licenses to operate any business whatsoever on the premises,” the police statement noted.
