As a result of a tip-off, Police ranks on Wednesday destroyed a cannabis farm at Five Miles Backdam, Ituni Trail, Upper Demerara.
Police Headquarters revealed that the approximately one and a half acres cultivation had about 3,000 plants measuring between two to eight feet in length with a weight of about 400 kilograms.
It was noted that a make-shift camp with dry ration, cooking utensils and farming tools were found and destroyed. No arrests were made.
