Another 66 people recover from COVID-19 in 24 hrs; 5 in ICU

Over the past 24 hours, another 66 people recovered after they were infected with the disease COVID-19, according to the Ministry of Health.

While these people have recovered, 17 persons were newly-infected with the novel coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19.

With these new cases, the total number of confirmed cases since March 11, 2020, has increased to 63,107. Importantly, though, no additional deaths were recorded. As such, the overall death toll remained at 1,224.

The new infections were recorded from: Region Two (three cases), Region Three (two cases), Region Four (nine cases), Region Six (two cases) and Region Nine (one case).

There are also five patients receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 12 people in institutional isolation, 14 people in institutional quarantine and 182 people in home isolation.
