Police have arrested a 37-year-old man who reportedly stabbed his brother to death on Thursday night at Third Street, Alberttown, Georgetown.

Dead is Moses Anthony, a baker.

Police Headquarters reported that Anthony went home under the influence of alcohol on the night in question and decided to visit his brother’s house which is in the same yard.

Investigators were told that Anthony began hitting on his brother’s front door and an argument ensued between the two.

Police said the argument led to a scuffle during which the older brother armed himself with a small piece of ceramic tile which he picked up from the ground and stabbed Anthony to the right side of his throat.

“Moses fell to the ground and began to bleed profusely. His brother made no attempt to flee and was arrested by police on site shortly after they arrived at the scene,” the police report noted.

Anthony’s body is presently lying at Memorial Gardens Funeral home awaiting an autopsy.
