Missing girl, 14, found safe

Erica Lall, 14, who was reported missing on Tuesday last was found safe and sound on Saturday.
The News Room understands that she was handed over to the Cove and John police station on the East Coast of Demerara by a female neighbour.
Officials at the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security say from all indications it was not a case of Trafficking in Persons but rather a ‘run away’ from home situation.
The Counter-Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Unit along with the Guyana Police Force searched for the teen girl who reportedly went missing from her East Coast Demerara home.
The News Room understands that the teenager went to visit some friends living nearby on Tuesday afternoon and disappeared.
