Police are currently at Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara (EBD) where a man died after crashing a car that he and others allegedly stole on Sunday morning.
The identity of the dead man is not yet known.
Reports are that the incident occurred sometime after 08.00hrs on the Land of Canaan Public Road.
Preliminary information reaching the News Room revealed that the dead man and two others allegedly hijacked a car and in their bid to escape, they crashed into a utility pole.
The two other suspects were also injured and they were rushed to the hospital.
Investigators are currently at the scene. The News Room will provide more information as it becomes available.
