Three persons including a female was on Friday sentenced to two years imprisonment and fined $1.7M each after they were found guilty of possession of a quantity of narcotics.
The sentence was handed down by Magistrate Anita Singh at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court following the completion of a trial.
Lena Narine, Earl Branch and Sherlan Edmondson were arrested on January 27, 2023 at Prasad Nagar, Georgetown following the discovery of approximately 2.3 pounds of cocaine.
The narcotic carries a street value of $1.1M.
