The police in ‘A’ division are hunting suspects who launched a daring morning robbery on an armour truck on Robb Street.
According to information reaching the News Room, the money transfer vehicle which was about to make a deposit came under fire from several gunmen.
The security guards returned fire while the police were informed.
Two of the suspects were arrested and a 9mm pistol recovered. It is unclear at this point if any cash was taken but the police are hunting other suspects who got away in the process.
