A 69-year-old engineer was killed after he fell four floors from a concrete and steel building on Saturday.
Dead is Keith Scipio of Kissoon Scheme Good Hope, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
Police Headquarters stated that the incident occured at about 11:30h at a construction site at Happy Acres, ECD.
Police said Scipio held a meeting with the workers on the fourth floor of the building after which he was observed walking towards a hole at the center of the building. One of the workers who witnessed the incident tried to warn Scipio about the danger of the hole but it was too late.
Scipio was found lying motionless in a pool of blood with injuries to the head. He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
