Failure to exercise the five Cs’ on the part of one or both drivers this morning resulted in extensive damage to two vehicles on Carifesta Avenue in Georgetown.
According to persons who would have witnessed the accident, a taxi had just emerged from the Ministry of Education Sports Club Ground and was in the process of turning west onto Carifesta Avenue when a vehicle speeding from the same direction (west) slammed into the taxi.
While the taxi driver was open to speaking to News Room on what actually took place, the other driver refused. The taxi driver escaped with minor injuries to his body.
The taxi reportedly flipped across the road and came to a halt on the road’s shoulder with its wheels up. The accident saw a prompt response from the police and a backup in traffic along the carriagewa
