Dindial was on trial for murder before Justice Jo-Ann Barlow and a 12-member jury at the High Court; he was found not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter.

He had pleaded not guilty to the offence which stated that on September 3, 2017, he murdered Aliston Henry.

The matter is adjourned to November 28, 2019, for a probation report and sentencing.

According to reports, on the day in question, the two men were involved in an argument at the wedding house during which Henry pushed down a portable toilet.

Dindial retaliated and armed himself with a wooden food paddle and hit Henry about his body.
