Couple robbed of licensed pistol, cash and colognes

Police are investigating an armed robbery committed on 59-year-old Lennox Albert and his wife 68-year-old Verna Albert at Nouvelle Flanders Village, West Coast Demerara.

 

The incident occurred at about 20:00hrs on Sunday when the victims who operate a shop were in the process of closing their business.

 

They were robbed by “two identifiable males, one armed with a handgun” the police said.

 

The perpetrators took $500,000.00 cash and a quantity of cologne; in the process, Lennox Albert was relieved of his licensed .32 pistol with five rounds.

 

The bandits who escaped on foot, have not yet been apprehended.
