Guyana’s top badminton players in the male and female categories, Narayan and Priyanna Ramdhani, have both made gains in the latest Pan American and World rankings.

The siblings, since moving from the Junior category (Under-19), have played only three International Open tournaments as Senior players from 2019 to now, but still managed to make positive moves in the rankings.

In the Mixed Doubles, Narayan and Priyanna are ranked 31 in Pan America and 268 in the world. In the Men’s Singles, Narayan is ranked 38 in Pan America and 350 in the world, while Priyanna is ranked 53 in Pan America and 384 in the world in the Women’s Singles.

The Guyana Badminton Association said the achievement is quite significant, given that over 180 countries participate in badminton, amounting to thousands of players.

Notably as well, some countries/players above the Ramdhani siblings on both rankings have played as many as 30 tournaments during the last two years.
